Alaskan winters are especially challenging for residents of The Last Frontier, with temperatures plunging far below zero and snow piling up faster than many can clear it: driveways vanish, doors freeze shut, and rooftops strain under the weight of accumulated snow. In such harsh conditions, reliable snow plowing and removal services aren’t a luxury; they’re an essential lifeline that keeps families safe, mobile, and warm throughout the brutal winter months.

Amanda and her husband, an Army veteran, are in their seventies and live in Wasilla, AK. Amanda contacted Alaska Warrior Partnership while her husband is away while he receives treatment for some health issues and she needs help dealing with the heavy snowfall around her home.

Ever wondered what $10 could do? It can save the lives of veterans like the one you're reading about in this story. Donate $10 a month and help us reach veterans before a crisis occurs. Together, we can do better. Our veterans deserve better.

Azzie, one of our veteran support advocates, connected Amanda with Power Full Effects, a veteran owned landscaping business in Wasilla that serves the Mat-Su Valley and offers residential snow removal.

Power Full Effects was able to come clear her yard so that Amanda can safely exit her home. By partnering with local veteran-owned businesses, Alaska Warrior Partnership strengthens a powerful network of support for those who have served and keep resources within the community while creating meaningful opportunities for veterans and their families to thrive.
